Hurricane

Your memory still binds me to my sheets

It has me by the heart

The sensation trickles down to my feet.

Even as I drift away to sleep

Reminiscence admits no defeat.

But a storm has begun

brewing inside my eyes,

A hurricane in disguise

awaiting the perfect moment

to annihilate the very

thought of you from my thighs.

Yours, I am not, never again will be

Our ship is sinking into the sea

I need not your arms to salvage me;

The taste of death will set me free.
